36 Exceptional Officers were honoured for Bravery, Dedication, and Selflessness, in a glittering ceremony held at the Phoenix Police Camp.
Police officers were recognized for their exemplary service to the community, the prestigious Cop of the Year Awards was sponsored by Solten Financial Services.Winners were awarded in four categories thus, General award, Police Constabulary award, Women’s metworking, and Police Station of the Year.
ZRP Muchakata took top honours as the Police Station of the Year, closely followed by ZRP Ndali. The ranking was based on the number of people helped and cases solved by each station.Masvingo Province Zimbabwe Republic Police Spokesperson Inspector Kudakwashe Dhewa, emphasized that the awards served as recognition to police officers who demonstrate exceptional dedication and bravery in serving and protecting communities.
Officer Commanding Masvingo province Commissioner Chrispen Charumbira, praised the officers for their dedication, bravery, and selflessness.Commissioner Charumbira emphasized the importance of community partnerships in policing.”The partnership of the police and members of the public helps in the attainment of the national vision 2030,” he said.The Cop of the Year Awards Ceremony serves as a reminder of the incredible work done by police officers every day and the importance of recognizing and celebrating their achievements.
