Chibuku Road to Fame rolls to life this weekend

The ultimate musical extravaganza Chibuku Road to Fame Zimbabwe’s most prestigious talent search competition, makes its highly anticipated return end of this month.
This exciting event has been a launchpad for many successful music careers, and this year’s edition promises to be bigger and better than ever. Aspiring musicians and music lovers alike are in for a treat as the search for the next big thing in Zimbabwean music begins.
According to a press release that this publication is in possession of, Delta Corporation through its principal subsidiary Delta Beverages reiterated that the competition from the 28th of September to the 9th of November has a rich history of success, empowering aspiring musicians and creating countless success stories.
“With a rich history of success, the competition continues to empower aspiring musicians, creating countless success stories along the way. Through close collaboration with National Arts Council of Zimbabwe (NACZ), we are committed to nurturing fresh talent and supporting the arts.
“This initiative also offers Chibuku a unique opportunity to connect with and engage consumers nationwide, with thrilling provincial competitions taking place across the country. Winners can expect to receive cash prizes at both the provincial and national levels of the competition,” read the press release.
Chibuku Road to Fame has a rich history of uncovering and nurturing raw talent, providing a platform for emerging artists to showcase their skills and shine. This year’s competition is expected to attract a diverse range of talented musicians from solo artists to bands, all vying for the top spot and the chance to kickstart their musical journey.
With a panel of industry expert judges, rigorous selection processes and electrifying live performances, Chibuku Road to Fame is the ultimate springboard for Zimbabwe’s next musical sensations. As the competition heats up, music fans can expect to witness show-stopping performances, unexpected surprises and the discovery of fresh talent that will leave them eagerly anticipating the next big thing in Zimbabwe music.
The competition will begin with ten provincial finals held across Zimbabwe, culminating to a grand finale in Harare. Registration with National Arts Council of Zimbabwe is a prerequisite for participation in the competitions.
First prize in the provincial is US$2500, 2nd US$1500 while third is US$1000 and for the national finals first prize US$15 000 plus a recording contract, 2nd US$10 000, 3rd prize US$7 500.
